In Arizona, the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World exists among lush desert landscapes, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountain peaks.
From small communities to one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, Arizona offers travelers unique experiences packed with hospitality, adventure, and stunning sights.

Arizona is blessed with bright sunshine and fantastic weather year-round, and you'll find endless places to fish, sail, swim, stroll, tramp, run, pedal, paddle – and even just sit and be amazed.

You can climb into the sky by balloon or hang-glider, explore the dark depths of great caves, raft whitewater rivers and put miles between you and civilization on the back of a trustworthy horse. You can get a close-up view of plants and animals in the wild, or at our state's many zoos, parks and botanical gardens.

The Grand Canyon, Sedona's famed red rocks, Flagstaff's forested mountains, Lake Powell's blue waters and Monument Valley's sandstone spires are some of the natural wonders that await you in Northern Arizona.

State attractions include the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, the Painted Desert, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Fort Apache, and the reconstructed London Bridge at Lake Havasu City.

Fishing is great in Arizona, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Patagonia is internationally known as a premier bird watching destination. Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, which is owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy, is a cottonwood-willow riparian forest and over 290 species of birds.

Birding is very popular in Arizona, and there are many varieties of birds to enjoy. The multifaceted terrain of the State of Arizona lends itself to a unique assortment, totalling over 500 species of birds.
