Vacation capital of the USA. More people in the usa vaction in California than any other state. California's population is now around 36 million, the most populous State since 1964. About 8 million foreign vistors come to California a year, however most of Caifornia's visitors, 335 million, come from the good ole USA.

Everyone wants to come to Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the World. Disneyland, California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios and Sea World, just mention the names and the kids eye light up. While these places are certainly crowd pleasers there is immense amount of natural beauty that also draws millions of visitors to California.

Let's start with the Pacific Ocean, over 700 miles of Ocean beach front. Further inland we run into thousands of acres of fruit groves and vineyards. Next we run into National Parks, reserves and mounuments, interpersed with hundreds lakes, rivers and streams. If we keep on going on up the mountains we will run into the Lodges and Resorts, summertime hunting and fishing, wintertime skiing. It is easy to see why so many pick California for a vacation spot, not to mention the fact that a lot of people just get in the car and drive there.

California really is the golden state, in terms of money, there are only seven entire countries that bring in more money than California, around $1,500,000,000,000 and change.

Even though most vistors come for the entertainment, agriculture is their biggest industry, followed by aerospace, then entertainment. Fruit, vegetables, dairy and wine are their largest source of revenue.

At $2.2 billion the B-2 bomber, built by Northrop Grumman of Los Angeles, CA, is the most expensive aircraft ever built and it only seats two. For the price of two bombers you can build an Nimitz class aircraft carrier that seats 5,600 comfortably, did I mention the 85 aircraft and thousands of missiles that are also on board? Who made that decision? What Air Force general said "well let's see, I got 100 billion in tax dollars left over, give me 21 of those B-2 bombers, I'll pick up a couple hundred more later"?

California also gave birth to the "Personal computer generation". Just outside of San Fransico in Silicon Valley, many of the computer gurus still reside. Most of them are CEOs of major corporations like Intel, AMD, Apple, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, Ebay, Google, Symantec, Yahoo and dozens more.
