Georgia's on my mind, ahh that sweet music of Ray Charles in my ears. I cannot think of anyone who personify's what Georgia is all about better than Ray Charles himself. Born in 1930 in Georgia in grips of the Great Depression, his father left, his younger brother drown and he was blind all before he was 7 years old. Ray knew all about the blues and soul music, he lived it.

Ray has earned dozens of grammy's, honoree in the Georgia State Music Hall of Fame, His version of "Georgia on my mind" is the State song, star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, inductee into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, inducted into the Jazz Hall of Fame, inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and many other honors. Frank Sinatra called him "the only true genius in the business."

Atlanta is the home to half the population of Georgia. Chick-fil-A, Georgia Pacific, Arby's, Coca-Cola, Arby's, Delta, and CNN corporations are headquartered in Atlanta. Aflac, Home Depot, United Parcel Service and Zaxby's also are based in Georgia.

Georgia has 27 Professional Sport Teams most are based in Atlanta, the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, Thrashers, Vision, Silverbacks and Thoughbreds to name a few.

After the work is done, people in Georgia have a vast playground at there disposal. From the lazy rolling hills of the Blue Ridge mountains to the fertile valleys below fishing, hunting and hiking are just a few of the pleasures enjoyed by all.
