Indiana has a population of over 6,271,000 with it's largest city being Indianapolis.
Wyandotte Cave, one of the largest in the U.S., is located in Crawford County in southern Indiana, and West Baden and French Lick are well known for their mineral springs.

Other attractions include Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park.

The Oxbow is the most important wetland area in the mid-section of the Ohio Valley, drawing the tri-state area's largest concentrations of ducks and herons. Birders have listed 270 species of birds on this area, among them ducks, geese, shorebirds, raptors, and songbirds.

Sixty-six species of fish live here.

The Red Wolf Sanctuary is dedicated to the preservation of North American predators.

Located just three miles west of Dillsboro, on State Route 62. Visit and you will receive an education on the wildlife that lives there, such as the red wolf, grey wolf and coyote.

The animals are maintained as close to their natural habitat as possible. Animals are not taken out of the wild and any animals that are received at the sanctuary are released back into their native environment once the sanctuary feels they can survive. Other animals you will find in the sanctuary are mountain lions, bears, red fox, barred and horned owls, and golden eagles.

Fishing is great in Indiana, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited. Do you remember your first fishing or boating trip? Ask anyone to tell the story of who first took them boating or fishing - chances are good the story is deeply personal and meaningful.

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in Indiana.

Indiana also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country. From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer hunting in Indiana is a tradition. Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime.

Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.
