New York Parks
There are no National Parks in New York, however their state parks more than make up for the loss. Adirondack Park, in northeast New York is 6.1 million acres, about the size of Vermont. It is as big as Yellowstone National Park, Everglades National Park, Glacier National Park and Grand Canyon National Park combined. New York has about 180 State Parks, we will mention a few of them.

Adirondack State Park (6,100,000 acres) The history of this park reads like a James Michener novel dating back to 1864 when George Perkins published "Man and Nature" describing the beauty of this land.
With over 3,000 lakes and 30,000 miles of rivers and streams the plant and wildlife in the area is prestinely preserved for our future generations to enjoy. The largest trail system in our nation is here with over 2,000 miles of hiking enjoyment.
