North Dakota

Birding Adventures in North Dakota- Wildlife enthusiasts who tour North Dakota are thoroughly impressed with such remarkable destinations as the Missouri Coteau, the Turtle Mountains, the Missouri River Valley, the Badlands, the Pembina Gorge, and the Sheyenne Grasslands, along with the best of our 62 national wildlife refuges – we boast more wildlife refuges than any other state.

Des Lacs River

North Dakota has lots of fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching and many other sports to do with the miles of open wild country.

Cannonball River

Fishing is great in North Dakota, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Turtle River

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in North Dakota.

Devils Lake State Park

North Dakota also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country.

Little Missouri State Park

From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in North Dakota is a tradition. Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Souris River

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.

James River

In North Dakota we have over 300 species of birds, perhaps this is why every year millions of Americans come to North Dakota to watch and take pictures of the birds and wildlife in our wonderful state.

Stump Lake

Come and enjoy the great outdoors that North Dakota has to offer.
