Oklahoma has a population of over 3,547,000 with it's largest city being Oklahoma City.
The Gilcrease Museum of Tulsa is home to the largest, most comprehensive collection of American Western art and artifacts in the world. Today, the state contains more native American tribal headquarters than any other state, as well as the nation's largest American Indian population.

You will find mountains, pine woods and lakes in the eastern third of the state, plains and grasslands with rolling hills in the center of the state and in the west and panhandle it has plains and approaches more of a desert area.

There are all kinds of activities available from hunting, fishing, hiking, to gambling in one of the hundred or so casinos and bingo parlors, and metro activities in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Oklahoma City is also home of the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Tourist attractions include the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore, the Cherokee Cultural Center with a restored Cherokee village, the restored Fort Gibson Stockade near Muskogee, the Lake Texoma recreation area, pari-mutuel horse racing at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, and Blue Ribbon Downs in Sallisaw.

Fishing is great in Oklahoma, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country.

From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in Oklahoma is a tradition.

Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.

In Oklahoma we have over 300 species of birds, perhaps this is why every year millions of Americans come to Oklahoma to watch and take pictures of the birds and wildlife in our wonderful state.

Come and enjoy the great outdoors that Oklahoma has to offer.
