South Carolina has a population of over 4,255,000 with it's largest city being Columbia.
South Carolina is not just one of the original American Colonies with a rich history and culture shaped by European, African and Caribbean influences. It’s not just sunny beaches, crystal lakes, historic towns, and scenic mountains.

Crystal white sand, world class golf, unique shops, fantastic dining - after that, no two are alike. Enjoy family attractions on Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand; mix sophistication, romance, and European high culture with beach time in historic must-see Charleston and her resort islands; soak in the magic and relaxed energy of Caribbean influences in Hilton Head and the resort islands of the Lowcountry.
Points of interest include Fort Sumter National Monument, Fort Moultrie, Fort Johnson, and aircraft carrier USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor; the Middleton, Magnolia, and Cypress Gardens in Charleston; Cowpens National Battlefield; the Hilton Head resorts; and the Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden in Columbia.

Fishing is great in South Carolina, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in South Carolina.

South Carolina also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country. From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in South Carolina is a tradition.

Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.

In South Carolina we have over 300 species of birds, perhaps this is why every year millions of Americans come to South Carolina to watch and take pictures of the birds and wildlife in our wonderful state.

Come and enjoy the great outdoors that South Carolina has to offer.
