Utah has a population of over 2,469,000 with it's largest city being Salt Lake City.
Utah is a great vacationland with 11,000 mi of fishing streams and 147,000 acres of lakes and reservoirs.

Among the many tourist attractions are Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion National Parks; Cedar Breaks, Dinosaur, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Rainbow Bridge, Timpanogos Cave, and Grand Staircase (Escalante) National Monuments; the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City; and Monument Valley. Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

If it's a ski vacation you desire, you are going to love skiing in Utah! Storms dump an average of over 500 inches of dry, fluffy powder on our resorts each year! You've heard of these resorts, Park City, Snowbird & Alta to name a few.

While here in the Salt Lake Valley, our winters are usually milder than most people think. Sure, it can get cold and snowy, but not often. And typically by noon the next day, the suns out and it all melts. So, for whatever reason you'll be visiting, have the time of your life here in Utah!

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in Utah.

Utah also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country. From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in Utah is a tradition. Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.

In Utah we have over 300 species of birds, perhaps this is why every year millions of Americans come to Utah to watch and take pictures of the birds and wildlife in our wonderful state.
