Utah has a population of over 2,469,000 with it's largest city being Salt Lake City.

Utah

Utah is a great vacationland with 11,000 mi of fishing streams and 147,000 acres of lakes and reservoirs.

Green River

Among the many tourist attractions are Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion National Parks; Cedar Breaks, Dinosaur, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Rainbow Bridge, Timpanogos Cave, and Grand Staircase (Escalante) National Monuments; the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City; and Monument Valley. Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.

If it's a ski vacation you desire, you are going to love skiing in Utah! Storms dump an average of over 500 inches of dry, fluffy powder on our resorts each year! You've heard of these resorts, Park City, Snowbird & Alta to name a few.

Skiing

While here in the Salt Lake Valley, our winters are usually milder than most people think. Sure, it can get cold and snowy, but not often. And typically by noon the next day, the suns out and it all melts. So, for whatever reason you'll be visiting, have the time of your life here in Utah!

Snowboarding

For the outdoor enthusiast, Utah has a lot to offer.  Rock climbing, camping, hiking, Backpacking through wilderness areas,  exploring national parks and monuments, squeezing through slot canyons, and more.

Canyonlands National Park

Fishing is great in Utah, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Panguitch Lake

Over a dozen studies have shown that being with family and friends, relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in Utah.

Weber River

Utah also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country. From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in Utah is a tradition. Hundreds of thousands of hunters each year take to the wild seeking a trophy and filling their freezer with meat for the winter.

Great Salt Lake

Birding is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in America. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of the Interior, appreciation of birds ranks second behind gardening as America's favorite pastime. Birds add a fascinating dimension to our surroundings with their color, liveliness, and music. Because they are wild creatures, they bring an element of nature into our lives.

Gulls

In Utah we have over 300 species of birds, perhaps this is why every year millions of Americans come to Utah to watch and take pictures of the birds and wildlife in our wonderful state.
