The Vermont Constitution outlines and guarantees broad rights for its citizens.

  • Vermont is one of only two states in the Union to allow any adult to carry a concealed firearm without any sort of permit.
  • Vermont prohibited all billboards from view of highway rights-of-way by law, except for signs on the contiguous property of the business location.
  • The age of consent in Vermont is 16.
  • Public nudity is legal in Vermont, though not disrobing in public.
  • Vermont is an Alcoholic beverage control state. Beer and wine may be sold in local grocery stores unless the town in which it is located has voted "dry" at their town meeting.
  • Medical- As a result of statutory benefits Vermont, with 9.5% of the population with no medical insurance, has the second best coverage in the country, as of 2004.

Vermont is best know for it's Green Mountains, Lake Champlain, Maple syrup, independence and best of all Vermont Teddy bears.

Vermont is one of the smallest states with a population of around 600,000. Burlington it's largest city has around 40,000 population.

Fishing is great in Vermont, with so many rivers, lakes and streams to chose from the choices are unlimited.

Relaxing and being outdoors and close to nature are the primary reasons people spend time on the water, and you can't do any better than fishing in Vermont.

Vermont also has some of the best bird and game hunting in the country. From ducks, geese and pheasant to deer, boar and bear hunting in Vermont is a tradition.
